Service with a Smile!

Has anyone heard of the "Make A Difference," Campaign? Well, for a long time I had only heard of it when I went to the movies and they had advertisements for it... or was that the, "pass it along," campaign... :) I can't remember.
Anyway, my point is, I've really enjoyed one service project with make a difference this year. I believe you can go to makeadifference.com to gain more information in your area.
The project I did was reading to children. It was well organized at one of the largest homeless shelters for families in the Phoenix area. Books are donated and you simply spend time reading over an hour with a child or two. It is a lot of fun and helps the children develop reading and social interaction skills. I'm looking forward to going down there again and taking the time to offer service. It seems like this is a good idea in the summer especially with all the kids being out of school.

Hey Kirsten,
I don't know if you remember me, but I was a year ahead of you at Shaw. I hope you're doing good. I haven't seen you in so long. You always had a smile on your face. Erik may have already asked you about this, but do you have Karen Sulzen's address? He said that you both lived in AZ. I found your blog on his blog, so I figured I'd go ahead and ask you. We're trying to find her for our 10 year reunion. I hope your doing great! Thanks, Katherine (Thurman) Kennedy

Hey Kirsten,
Good to hear about your service in writing. Keep the posts coming! It looks like a good way to keep up with friends. How fun to hear something from Katherine Thurman! What a great way to meet and greet old friends again.
