Okay Boys and Girls! I'm back! I started this blog like months ago and have been what you would call a "super slacker!" I like to blog so I'm gonna get back into it! YES!
I've decided to write a short note about my hike this weekend! First off, I would like everyone to know that hiking is really cool and really fun even if you can't go that far and have to go a little slower than others. I went to Horton Trail in Payson, Arizona for a "fall color hike," with 16 new friends. Almost all of them were members of my church (LDS) so we had things to talk about. I hiked with two other ladies who were willing to go at my pace since I wear a prosthetic leg. I had a trekking pole that helped me too. It was so great to realize that it offered so much stability getting over rocks!
We left at 8:15 from Mesa, Arizona and landed back by 7:45 so it was a long day! What I loved the most were the beautiful red and yellow leaves, the flowing creek, and the cool breeze. It was really just about perfect in every way! I recommend this hike this time of year with out a doubt- most FUN!
